Our News and Resources site has information about cancer and an overview of the most common cancers. The site also includes information about how you can reduce the risk of cancer.

If you or someone you know has been touched by cancer, please visit our patient information website, CancerHelp UK. This is a free information service about cancer and cancer care for people with cancer and for their families.

Our Grants and Research website has information for scientists about grants, clinical trials funding and support, and research.


We have a series of cancer awareness leaflets which provide information about early detection and how to reduce your risk.

We also produce briefsheets which summarise our research into particular cancers or topics, and contain key facts and figures.


We produce a range of publications for health professionals.

Our CancerStats reports are detailed statistical reports on different cancers. We also produce a series of short factsheets for the major cancers.


Smoking causes one in three cancer deaths in the UK. Our Healthy Living section gives information about the risks involved with smoking and advice about quitting.


E-befriending was a scheme we recently piloted for people affected by cancer. It offered the opportunity to 'talk' via email to someone who has been through a similar experience some years before. The pilot is now come to a close and we are looking at how the scheme should be developed. For more information please contact ebefriending@cancer.org.uk.
