Colleagues at the Trowbridge Peacocks store in the pink!Peacocks, the hot high street value fashion retailer, is working in partnership with Cancer Research UK for a third year to deliver a successful programme of employee fundraising.

Involving colleagues in stores across the UK

Across Peacocks' network of 460 stores, colleagues throughout the business have demonstrated energy, motivation and success in fundraising for Cancer Research UK. This success was celebrated when Peacocks won the Cancer Research UK Flame of Hope Award for Best Business Supporter of the year in 2006.

Peacocks' achievements so far include:

  • Raising an amazing £609,000 during the two year partnership – against a target of £300,000
  • Engaging colleagues and customers in store fundraising events from fashion shows to pink parties
  • Peacocks colleagues taking part in international challenges, organising social events, running the marathon and taking part in Race for Life and All Walk Together

Exciting times ahead

In January 2007 Peacocks announced that they aim to raise £1 million by extending the partnership for a third year. Dubbed "The £1 Million Challenge", colleagues have planned an exciting programme of fundraising events throughout the third year to achieve this fantastic ambition.
