How to make a tax-free donation

Sign up for Payroll Giving (also known as 'Give As You Earn') and make regular donations to charity straight from your salary, before tax.

On each payday an amount of your choice is deducted by your payroll department and sent to Cancer Research UK or another charity of your choice.

Your donations are taken before tax, meaning that for every £1 you give it will only cost you 80p (60p if you are a higher rate tax payer) – the taxman will pay the rest!
