Cancer Research UK is one of the few organisations in the world that can take discoveries from the laboratory all the way through to new cancer treatments.
Many of our researchers are based on hospital sites so they can work closely with doctors and patients.
New world-class radiobiology research centre in Oxford
In a major effort to improve and refine radiotherapy treatments for cancer patients, Cancer Research UK is working in partnership with Oxford University and the Medical Research Council to create an international centre of excellence for radiobiology research in Oxford. The facility will be up-and-running in spring 2008 and its aim will be to transform the future of radiotherapy for cancer patients.
