Donate in Memory

Create a lasting tribute to a loved one online

Kieran and his MumAt Donate in Memory, you can remember someone close to you and support Cancer Research UK.

Creating a personalised page in memory of a loved one is quick and simple. You can display a message about the person you are remembering and add a photo. Your friends and family can then visit the page and join you in donating in their memory.

As Donate in Memory pages are online, they are open to everyone who has been touched by the loss, no matter where they are in the world. Your gift will enable our scientists to continue their vital work looking for new ways to prevent and treat cancer.

Kieran's story

After losing his mum to cancer in July 2007, Kieran Marchant, set up a Donate in Memory page for her. He said, "It's an easy website to use that acts as a focal point for shared memories, as well as raising money.

"People who donate are helping to beat the very thing that has just taken their loved one away. I found that therapeutic and Donate in Memory helped me to believe that some good could come out of my loss.

"When I was sending out invitations for the memorial service, my Dad mentioned that he wanted people to donate to charity for a lasting gesture. By setting up a page, you are helping the cancer patients of the present and the future.

"Donate in Memory is invaluable for people who can¿t attend the service ¿ it's a place for people to go and feel part of it. A number of people that were unable to come commented on the page saying that they felt like they could still contribute and pay their respects."
